As one of the City of San Diego’s most iconic and beloved destinations, Mission Bay Park plays host to an estimated 15 million visitors annually. For those visitors, navigating throughout the area is assisted by a meticulously placed series of wayfinding signs that direct travelers to the various marinas, beaches, streets, boat launches and attractions scattered throughout the park. 
Now, the time has come to replace all those signs, and the City wants all San Diegans to help determine what those new signs will look like at an upcoming community workshop 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 at Mission Bay High School, 2475 Grand Ave.
Resident input will help determine everything from the design of the signs to the color palate and the overall strategy for displaying them. The new signs will be made of durable products and materials, ensuring that they withstand the constant exposure to salt water and sunlight.
